RESPONSIBILITIES
The Assistant Property Manager leases apartments and provides excellent customer service so that residents want to move into the property and remain there. Also, the Assistant Property Manager performs management responsibilities when the Property Manager is away from the property.

You'll find this job appealing because you will:
• Process new applications, re-certifications and provide required information to compliance department
• Show apartments to perspective residents.
• Handle lease negotiations and renewals.
• Assist property manager in overseeing leasing and maintenance staff.
• Market the property through community outreach and by focusing on target markets.
• Maintain strong resident relations, ensuring that residents are served well and satisfied with the community.
• Maintain compliance policies and procedures.
• Assist manager with rent collection, rent ledger, bank deposits and petty cash records, delinquent rents, evictions, maintaining curb appeal, etc.
• Assist manager in providing account information to the regional supervisor and credit agency.
• Assist manager with resident relations and enforce all community rules and regulations.
• Other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

QUALIFICATIONS
As we review candidates for this role, we'll be looking for these qualifications:
• Property Management Experience Preferred
• Section 42 Experience Preferred
• Must be very organized, with a strong attention to detail; must stay on top of paperwork.
• Must have strong communication and people management skills.
• Must be flexible and able to shift priorities if needed.
• Must understand customers' needs and respond to them, connecting them with the right solution; must be able to market and sell.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

Herman & Kittle Properties also offers a competitive compensation package, bonus potential, generous PTO & Holiday, health benefits (medical, vision, and dental), life insurance, and a 401(k) retirement plan. Starting hourly wage for this position will be $14.00-$16.00, depending on qualifications.
